Rob, could you please provide some additional details: in the Connect Equipment
window, what specifically were your selections for Camera and Mount?
Also, could you please attach a copy of the PHD_DebugLog from the session?
Thanks,
Andy

i *think* this is the log in question. i think i asked for SBIG, then Ethernet,
and on-camera mount control.
the log does show an error getting the guider size, so that probably has
something to do with the problem.

That log appears to be truncated, it only goes for about 6 seconds elapsed
time, and does not have any info about when you connect your equipment. Do you
have the full log, or could you get a new log that exhibits the problem?

i will probably have to get a new one, but they are necessarily going to be
short, because i can't actually do anything past grabbing a few frames from the
camera. when i select a star, the 'guide' button remains grey so i can't start
the calibration.
i killed my mount the other night and since the RA gearbox is off of it i can't
put a scope on it. i have another mount and if i swap it in i'll be able to
re-try.

I did see one thing in the truncated log: it looks like you have selected the
AO Simulator. You need to change that to AO None. The AO simulator really only
works with the camera simulator and will not work when you have real gear
connected.
I'm not sure if this is related to your problem (won't know till we see a full
log), but I figured I should mention it anyway.

could be. i do know that after more thrashing i connected to the guider via USB
(just to see if it would work at all) and it did work. don't know if i changed
the AO settings. of course that precluded me from controlling the imager except
via HTTP, so i didn't spend much time on that. anyway if i get motivated i'll
put the G11 back on the tripod and try again tonight - thanks.

I talked with Rob and this appears to no longer be an issue. Message from Rob:
"i just tried this against the last beta i had installed and the bug is there,
however, against 2.2.0 it seems to be working fine.
so i guess you can close it. it's still calibrating but at any rate i can
select a star and begin calibration; in 2.1.1a i could not get that far."
