Feature request: customizable alerts

Request to be able to trigger alerts for various events to notify the user that 
manual intervention is required.

Triggers could be based on guide parameters changing beyond some threshold 
(star mass, ra osc, star offset from lock position), or events (star lost).

Alerts could be in the form of pop-up messages, emails, or SMS text messages.

I've done some work in this area, and I strongly favor not embedding this in 
the main PHD2 app.  The server API provides all the info needed to write a 
free-standing app to handle monitoring and alerts.  Everyone will have a 
different idea about what should be done, so the UI for a general purpose alert 
tool could be pretty extensive.  Embedding this in the main app will, IMHO, 
just add bulk to the app and probably confuse a lot of users.  A separate app 
could be developed and even included in the PHD2 release at some point, and it 
wouldn't "get in the way" in other respects.
