After further conversation with Trent, it turns out what he is really after is 
to be able to guide on the sun.
Not surprisingly, the current center of mass calculation has occasional jumps 
in position.
Trent is going to collect some fits images so we can look into what would be 
needed to guide on an extended disk.
I would imagine we would need to find an alternate centroid algorithm, for 
example, we could find the bounding rectangle for the disk.
