User reports calibration flip problems with STT-8300 + filter wheel #292

I just tested the flip and it again failed to guide after the flip, this time
with "flip dec" checked. It WAS now guiding in dec properly (it was not before
I checked that box) but guided away from the guidestar in RA. I then tried
selecting "flip calibration data" and that caused the system to guide away from
the star in dec. What DID work was to manually change the sign of (only) the RA
calibration using "enter calibration data" after the flip had occurred with the
"flip dec" box checked. It tracked nicely after manually changing the RA sign
but that kinda defeats the purpose of automation....

Is there anyone else with a self-guiding STT that can comment on how (or if)
they fixed this? Theory is nice and more suggestions would be helpful, but
someone who has actually used SGP/PhD with this equipment would be better.

I will add that I have two imager friends that also have STT-8300 cameras with
the self-guide filter wheel who would like to dump MaxIm in favor of SGP/PhD
but both are waiting to see if I can get this to work before they make the
switch.

The SGP people are planning a fix. It is not PHD2.

Right, not a PHD2 issue. Marking as Invalid and closing it out.
