PHD 2 won't connect to Orion Star shoot AutoGuider #317

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.I open PHD 2 connect to mount (no problems )
2.when connecting to Star Shoot Auto Guider
3. get failed to connect message 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?   Failed to connect to 
Starshoot Auto Guider

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?   2.3.0 on 
Windows home edition 

Please provide any additional information below.
I have been using PHD that came with the guider from new not sure what version 
it is but works fine on it 
but would love to use your newer version but can not get it to connect .
connects to my LX200 GPS mount with no problem any help would be fantastic many

Pete,

We need more information:
1. What version of windows are you running? XP? Windows 7? Windows 8? Something 
else?
2. please attach the debug log PHD2_DebugLog_<date-time>.txt in the PHD2 folder 
of your Documents folder.

no worries sorry i didn't put the windows version it is XP 
I will go to the observatory and see if I can get the debug log and attach for 
you 
I did try the other Orion camera I have which is a 5 mp solar system imager but 
that just shut the hole thing down

hi Andy 
here are the debugging files for you to examine whilst I was there I tried the 
Sbig 8300c to connect and that work with no problem there are some more files 
in the folder but I was not sure weather to send all of them let me know if you 
need the rest thanks for your help cheers

hi there Andy 
well I have self fixed the problem I noticed I had a very old driver for the 
Star Shoot Auto Guider it was ver 1.4
I went to the Orion site and upgraded to ver 2 for XP and wham it connected 
straight away will see how it all goes tonight but PHD 2 will not work with the 
real old drivers of ver 1.4 but is very easy to upgrade to ver 2 for xp and ver 
4 for vista and up sorry if I caused any inconvenience to you but it was user 
error
