Window Resizing Hangs GUI #341

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start PHD2 in full screen mode
2. Click Restore Down to window mode
3. Drag lower right corner of window to properly size
4. Window stops responding, as it is dragged to properly size

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Window resizing was expected without having the GUI becoming non responsive.
Background guiding seems to continue to operate.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Discovered with PHD2 v2.3.1 on Windows 7 x64 OS.

I cannot reproduce this on my Win7 x64 machine, it works fine for me with no
hang.

This could mean a couple things:
  1. you are missing some information in the steps to reproduce the problem. For example: you mentioned that guiding continues to operate, but you did not mention anything about starting guiding.
  2. there is something different about your machine or phd2 configuration

You may want to try resetting your phd2 config (Brain => Global => Reset
Configuration) to see if it is related to any phd2 settings. You will lose all
profiles and settings when you do this, so you may want to save any profiles
first (Connect Equipment => Manage Profiles => Export).

Thanks, Andy. I experienced the issue both connected and guiding, along with
initially opening PHD2 last week while I was imaging. I'll try to reproduce it
and collect all of the detailed steps over the next day or so, and then try the
reset recommendation. I'll report back on my results, so we can either bubble
up the issue or close the defect. Thanks again.

Almost certainly a dup of Issue 358.
