We really need someone to take on adding QuickTime support for the Mac folks...

I've added QuickTime UVC camera support on older version of PHDGuiding (Not 
version 2). Currently it works only for Logicool C310, but can be applicable to 
other camera when parameters are appropriately set. If necessary, I can 
contribute codes.
