Sure, that should be easy enough to add. Can you post a screen shot of the device in MQTT Explorer? I need to see the full device, and the full path generated. I'm in the process of moving into a new home right now, so it'll be a little bit before I'm able to work on it, but the screenshot(s) will get me going.
Let me know if you're still interested in this by re-opening the issue. I can't add a device without knowing what it's putting out over MQTT. I don't have an Acurite 609TXC to see what it's sending out. Every other device I have from them has more than just an 'id', so before I update things to work with that, I would really like to see a screenshot of the output of MQTT Explorer, if you don't mind.
Thanks,
The AcuRite 609TXC temperature and humidity sensor has an 'id' but not a 'channel' or 'uid'. If you leave out the channel from the config, the add-on will fail on startup. If you include a fake channel, the add-on will start, but data from the sensor will not be picked up. Any chance of changing the logic to allow devices to have an id only?
