Locate Me Application

Locate Me is a mobile application which aims to protect users from harm by sending information to their emergency contact whenever a button is clicked.

Locate Me will have access to user location and will make use of google api to send out location.

Features (MVP)

• Sign up and Login
• Google/Facebook Authentication
• Getting & saving user emergency contact
• Sending emails to user contact
• Integration whatsapp api to send whatsapp messages to users
• Integrate twillo api to send text messages to users
• Notify user if their name is used as an emergency contact via email

Business Logic Users will be able to add only two/three emergency contact. Premium users will be able to add more than three emergency contact. Family Plan can be included later in the future.

Stacks to be used

• Javascript API
• React Native for both Andriod and IOS
• External APIs
• Whatsapp API
• Twillo
• Sendgrid

Question to ask Is there a way to track users using google API and thier phone locations.

• Is there a rational for stacks? Is there any stack better than javascript for the backend
• Firebase for authentication or Using API and Postgres database.
• Should it be an open source project?

Hi guys, we can assign any issues to ourselves and start working on them. Lets make sure one person review and approve a PR before merging. You can also create new issues about some things we can add that I have missed.

Lets make this engaging, I bet this will not be the last application we will build.
