Hello, thanks you for making this amazing extension, works quite well.

I was thinking about making some small changes to fit my needs, is the project still active? Last commit was made a really long time ago, can we at least get the latest codebase for further development?

I'm here for the same reason. I have been using this extension with great success (after trying many many others).

Is it active? Is there still a way to donate financially? (I went to https://darknightmode.com/donate/ but did not find any link to any payment portal.)
