tinkers construct not working #2218

new to playing with mods i looked up multiple tutorials as well as uninstalled reinstalled made new worlds tinkers construct doesnt work when i try to make a smeltry i dont understand why it doesnt work i follow the book it gave me and all the tutorials i watched said i do it right so i dont understand why it doesnt work i dont have prestige system on either and im playing on the original skyblock map start on top of the dirt tree and progress
