5 years ago It is intentionally this easy. It's dirt. It's not an expensive recipe but it is labour intensive in the early game, as you have to do a fair few steps manually to get the dirt, and it's not strictly a dupe, because it requires you have leaves, which, while cheap, require harvesting.
Not sure if this is intended or not because it seems very cheaty but also easily doable. The recipe for grass is putting a leaf into a cauldron with mud. By putting in a dirt in the cauldron full of water, when you put the leaves in there’s 4 bottles so it makes 4 grass. If you break the grass you get dirt so you can repeat the process easily. Once you get access to item pipes or before then if you’re clever this can even be automated. This can be done even before you get petrified trees since there are wooden shears+you start with a torch.
Fix: Change the recipe to take 4 bottles (1 bucket or 1000mb) of water per recipe Remove recipe and create a new way to create grass Require mud to only make 1 bottle (1/4 a bucket or 250mb) per dirt in water
Ways to make this harder if intentional: Get rid of wooden shears recipe Take torch out of starting inventory (then at least you would need a furnace to create water)
