Adds Read methods that use out params #142

Addresses issue #141

As the issue states, this is just a suggestion - I just went ahead and made the changes to save you folks some time should you decide to accept the suggestion.

Going to close and reopen to trigger tests to run (I had to change an organization setting).

I think not adding any tests here is OK given the extreme simplicity of the Read(out...) methods...
