Fighter Skills #14

It would be kind of interesting if fighters got the ability to break bones or that kind of thing. The idea being that the healing spell that clerics get to heal limbs might get some added benefit.

I mean they can break shields now. Would it be that much harder to break an arm or perhaps a leg?

I like this idea. Melee has always been lacking IMO.

A couple of other things we could consider would be: Combat Combinations - I.E. Land X than Y than Z, to do gain a specific bonus Combat Forms - Anyone who has played Godwars or that type of code probably knows where this is going. Enter one form to gain a boost to say defense, but take a negative to offense. Headbutt - Booyah. Dirty Fighting - Foot to groin for the win Deathstrikes - Special moves that have high damage but very low chance of landing. And why not a five finger death punch? (LOL) Takedowns - So we have bash, disarm, trip, and kick. Why not sweep or throw?

I have seen code that allows the targeting of body parts. Yes, you can finally put a dagger in that guys eye!

I personally find fighting with monks, exciting. It would be nice the martial classes had the variety that monks have.

Apparently slapping people just right on the ears can do some pretty bad stuff too.

I have seen some code where you can "stagger" people if you land martial skills just right. (Roll a 20 or 19 in D&D terms).

Another option is to add some specialization on weapons skills. In other words if you have a dagger equipped you have skills A, B, & C you can use. IF you have a polearm you can use D, E, & F.

I suspect if we did a bit of research we could find at least one skill per weapon that could be added.
