Templar Balancing + Psi/Necro Idea thoughts. #15

So when Templars were first released, i expressed my displeasure with the balancing of the class. As a fighter/caster hybrid, the class was just way too mana hungry to truely be effective. So here are my thoughts on balancing.

Inquisition: Remove mana cost, have it cost a flat 10-12 hp per cast.

Judgment: Reduce mana cost to 10 from 20. Heavy RNG does not offset the "slightly faster" rate of casting.

Harrow: Reduce mana cost to 10 or 12 from 20. Mediocre damage, Fast casting, and a "chance" to trip do not offset the 20 mana cost. As Templar as a whole generally has around the same mana pool as warriors, this mana cost for a nuke spell is far too heavy handed.

Thoughts: For a fighter/caster hybrid, this places the Templar in a place where he must balance the rate at which he casts with his health and mana, adding risks to using any of his arsenal.

Psi

Headache: Buff the rate it lands, similar to that of atrophy for Necros. Headache is a staple to a Psi's arsenal yet is rarely used because of its rate of landing. When fighting a Necro, you keep in mind the dots that are cast upon you, and compensate. This should be the same regarding Headache and a Psi. Overall, in its current state, Headache is mainly useless.

Necro

Blister: buff landing rate to that of atrophy Decay: add a 5-10% chance on damage ticks to "wither limb"

Headache: Buff the rate sure, but if you want it to land as easy as atrophy, it needs to come down to 50-100 mana and moves.

Inquisition: 7-20 Raw HP. No sanc or magic ward protection. I can come to agreement with you finally. If it seems to powerful can always up it to 10-25 hp.

Decay: 5-10% ok, with a 20% chance of reapplying itself only once. or next chance after that is 5% and then 1 then .01

I would have to look again, but I believe INT affects the success rates on PSI or at least headache.

Nvm, It looks like I was mistaken. (Or I am thinking of something else.)

When i suggested 10-12 hp cost per cast of Inquisition, I was already thinking that it did this damage THROUGH both sanc and magic ward. 20hp seems a bit too harsh. I wouldnt ever make it cost more than 15 hp considering that, that is what it is currently doing in terms of raw drainage. (10 mana + ~5-7 damage)
