Salt Mod, Growthcraft, Biomes O'Plenty, Garden Stuff Compatibility #40

Default Growthcraft configs don't work, same with plants from Salt, Biomes O'Plenty, Garden Stuff and Et Futurum Requiem sweet berries. But work with Complex Crops for some reason.

What exactly doesn't work?

Redgi110 commented 2 months ago

Crop Fertility don't work on them. For example despite i don't changhed growthcraft grape configs, grape still don't have fertile season. Same with Saltwort from Salt, Turnip from BOP, Candelilla from Garden Stuff and sweet berries from Et Futurum Requiem.

I seem to remember most of growthcraft's stuff was incompatible in general with seasons and needed to be fixed in the 1.12 version of the game with custom code additions on growthcraft's side (see this issue). I seem to remember as well as most non-vanilla crops like natura's barley and whatnot were not really respecting seasons, (but I might be mixing up things with hunger overhaul's bonemeal module in that case) which would explain why it wouldn't work on EtFut's berry bushes. For the most part you really need to cherrypick your crop options and curtail your expectation of a all-mod compatibility for the one man hobby backport project of a 1.12 only mod.

Also keep in mind the configs that SS 1.7 is shipped with need to be edited for since they use a different naming convention (the configs import the 1.12 IDs, which are similar but not the same) and that applies to other mods than growthcraft that got a 1.12 update as well.
