Good app with great UI. I always looking for calculator app with widget support. I tried many many calculator apps but no one is great for widget UI. Using standalone Calculator Widget from Play Store for a long time but it also has no update for a long time.

OpenCalc looks great and I believe the widget should be great too.

It's been a while for this feature request. Still has a chance?

I spent the last three months to completely redo the calculation system and fix all the bugs (version 2 just came out!). Now I'm going to add new features. The widgets are interesting, but I have no knowledge about their implementation, I will try to be as fast as possible. While waiting for them to be released, can you send me some screenshots or describe me what kind of widgets would be the best and in what form

@darkj2k Do I get it right that you want full calculator in widget? Even Scientific mode? So one widget? How big it should be in default? Full page? I hope you dont want resize to smaler/bigger sizes? What about portrait and landscape orientation? Widget cant do that right?

+1 from reddit

Well, in a "dream world" I'd like to have the calculator++ widget, with adjustable buttons (don't need all of them) ( or at least less buttons) and a bit of customisation as in the widget for the simple mobile tools widget.

Great to hear OpenCalc might feature a widget; I'll most certainly check it out when they do. tough the widget is essential for me; I'm CONSTANTLY doing quick calculations and I like just having a widget on a homescreen.

I think it would be good to write it in jetpack compose. Its little bit different part of the app and it should be easier and better. And what I know, developers are slowly swiching to it.
