[BUG?] TARDIS isn't landing on given co-ords #519

SneakyAlbaHD commented 8 years ago

I've been fiddling around for almost 2 hours now, I can't get the TARDIS to land where I've specified. I'm on absolute mode, coordinated flight ect. The monitors on the console show the coords I want (or close enough ones anyway) and I start flying and 90% of the time it's so short I don't see anything on the console highlighted but when I land I'm always off by a seemingly random amount. Even if the coords are exact I could end up around 10 to recently 148 blocks away. Is there something I'm missing?

DarkholmeTenk commented 8 years ago

For lower levels there is an element of randomness in the coords the screen displays. Can't remember how much though; I don't think it's up to 148 blocks. Could you get any more info? console logs, etc?

When I takeoff, this gets printed into the console: [17:45:07] [Server thread/INFO] [STDOUT]: [tardis.common.core.TardisOutput:print:50]: [TM] [TCTE]Moving to :[255, 54, 1003] from 70, 63, 879

How many buttons do you manage to press? iirc explosions throw you of course a little bit.

SneakyAlbaHD commented 8 years ago

The flights aren't long enough most of the time for a button to glow, and I can't tell if I've missed one or not, there's no indication as far as I can tell. I may be missing some of the buttons after all because it's not uncommon for my TARDIS to suddently tell me I've taken too much damage to do a certain task. The problem may actually be the controls on the console not glowing, not the TARDIS landing in the wrong place. Are there any incompatabilities between the TARDIS mod and things like FastCraft or Optifine? I doubt it, but I'd like to make sure.

FoxPotato commented 8 years ago

Well optifine is known for fucking up visuals, so i wouldnt say no right now. And everytime you miss there will be a small explosion

SneakyAlbaHD commented 8 years ago

There's no smoke either, I've seen it once, but never again.

Heh. The Doctor once said that "these readings are very... ish-y." Makes sense if you ask me. :L

Doctor always fails to land correctly...
