[request] more ways to speed up plant growth #189

edit.: thinking about it, it would probably be enough if there was a processing recipe for wheat to vanilla seeds. the bottleneck seem to be the seeds, since 50% of the time youll harvest wheat without getting additional seeds, while youre always guaranteed at least 1 potato. i would grow industrial hemp, but it seems like the actually additions harvester cant handle it.

also, neither the harvester, nor the ender io farming station can handle corn, which doesnt make it feasable to automate.

the ender io farming station even crashes if you just try to put corn seeds in

i think i made a gigantic mistake, investing a massive pile of resources into immersive engineering power production with a diesel generator.

the problem is that even though i have two full 9x9 farms (supported by worms) for potatoes and wheat, the growth speed is just so ridiculously slow, that i would probably need 10 of these farms to get anything decent out of it. despite their size, its really just a hand full potatos and seeds per minute.

the actually additions farmers also dont seem to work with towering plants like corn or industrial hemp, which would at least give a better yield.

is there anything that can be done besides greenhouse glass and worms? as far as i understand, even that only adds a very small increase to plant growth. and only by day.

another option would be, if it was possible to configure immersive engineering for a large increase in the yield of plant oil and ethanol.

maybe it would even be possible to add other mod seeds and crops like canola, crystallized canola seeds and empowered canola seeds etc. to the list of plants that can be processed in the immersive engineering machines, with a much better output in fluids.

Could you send me the corn crash log on my github?

crash-2017-06-08_14.28.24-server.txt

happened as soon as i put the corn seeds inside the farming station. now that i looked at it again, interestingly enough it seems to complain about a grass block from biomes o plenty?

i tried again in a different biome, and it worked while it did this.

it does seem to ahve isses with the tall grass. i dont know if thats normal, but i cant recall the farming station having problems removing that stuff in its planting process.
