Fira Sans Missing Characters in IE 9 #313

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Navigate to http://www.google.com/fonts/specimen/Fira+Sans in Internet 
Explorer 9

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
- Expect to see all characters, but some are missing.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
- Tested in IE9 on Windows 7

The Mozilla team has solved. If I use the CDN provided by them everything 
works: '//code.cdn.mozilla.net/fonts/fira.css'

I hav the same issue with Lato Thin font. IE9 isn't displaying the first 
character of every word.

Yep, same here. Switched over to Mozilla's CDN as the first commenter 
recommended and good to go. LAME!

I can verify that loading the font from the Mozilla CDN works perfectly. 
Changed the Google embed URL in my Wordpress functions file to the Mozilla CDN 
url and all the text is rendered properly in IE9 and above.
