crash still possible inside async functions (the 720-somthingth test generated- crashes when a failure occurs inside an async.waterfall)
maybe we monkey patch async waterfall/auto/whatever... and try to hijack the callback to keep it inside the mocha test frame..... ???&?$^#^?%$??@?#????
