Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Browse to http://www.globalvoiceradio.net
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
IP blocked as kingmanarizonareaalestate.com

What version of PeerBlock are you using? On what operating system? 32- or
64-bit?
32-bit and version 1.1

Please provide any additional information below. Make sure to attach
peerblock.log and/or any screenshots that would help explain your problem.
PeerBlock appears to be blocking by IP address and not fully qualified domain
name. kingmanarizonarealestate.com uses the same IP address as my website
globalvoiceradio.net. nslookups of both domain names return the same address
because hosting providers park multiple companies on the name ip address and
manage routing to the correct site by the domain name looked up. If your
software only blocks by IP address and not fully qualified domain name, it is
useless because it will block thousands of valid sites because on site is on a
spam list. Please fix this, I would like to be able to use your program but
for now will be counseling people to stay away until this bug is corrected.
