Positive Thinking #16

In our society, there is a prevalent belief that any negative experience, such as fear, sadness, anxiety, guilt, or anger, is abnormal.

Everything around us portrays only happiness and success, creating the impression that life should be perfect.

I used to be a hostage of positive thinking. No matter what happened, I tried to react only positively. I hated myself for feeling bad, blamed myself for feeling guilty, and worried because of experiencing anxiety.

Denying negative emotions led me to prolonged depressive states due to accumulated stress.

I realized that in real life, something bad can always happen, and it's normal to feel bad. Denying negativity only perpetuates and magnifies its weight.

When we constantly strive to be positive and seek pleasure in everything, it becomes like a drug, leading to dependency and preventing us from making objective decisions.

We need to embrace negative experiences as opportunities to become wiser and more experienced, as stimuli for personal growth. Avoiding problems and negative emotions is an integral and natural part of our lives.

It is essential to strive for mindfulness and an objective perception of reality. Being strong enough to see and accept the truth without the illusions of positive thinking.
