In ver. 0.24.8 if a text contains the underscore char, the following text is shown as a subscript.

This is nice if wanted, but it may be annoying if you want to display just the underscore and caret chars. To do so a backslash char "\" must be inserted before the underscore or caret; in this case, however, if you copy-and-paste the text, the backslash char appears in the text .
It would be useful to be able to enable or disable this feature from the "Options" menu item.
