I was thinking of a series of tools to be added to the menu or toolbar that would allow aligning selected objects. For example, align all to the right, left, top, or bottom, with alignment based on the furthest object in that direction.

A function to distribute objects evenly would also be useful. For example, when selecting them, they could be distributed with equal spacing between each other.

These are basic tools already present in almost all CAD software.

@DarwinNE, Shall we place them in the menu with all the other functions like rotate and mirror ?
