Ref to https://github.com/riongull/notes/blob/master/dash_unit_denominations.md This idea ended up not moving forward as a proposal at the time, but it is the best summary so far for the argument in favor of re-denomination.

One argument against redenomination is that it may impact Dash credibility in a negative way if the change is perceived as a cheap trick to pump the price.
