@filipleple can you confirm if the issue appears on rc2 as well? I've just run the entire MNE test suite with no bricking in any of the tests

The "enabled" test case always fails right before as well:

**bricked at this point**

On v0.9.1-rc3 bricks in the same exact moment. Causes the laptop to turn on and off cyclically, blowing with the fans for a while, then stopping, on every cycle.
