pfSense OS installation fails to run post installation setup

How to reproduce

Start psSense OS installation from USB flashdrive. At the end of the installation a:

efibootmgr: efi_get_variable: Bad address
efibootmgr: efi_get_variable: Bad address
Error: Failed to run the post installation script.```
is displayed.
However after reboot if you boot from the device that the OS was installed to it turns out that OS was installed corectly. Howver the boot entry was not created.

### Expected behavior

Post installation script finishes its run without errors.
Boot entry is correctly created.

### Actual behavior

Post installation script fails
Boot entry is not created.

### Solutions you've tried

Manually added the correct boot entry. And it worked.
Chose to boot from the device that the OS was installed. And it worked too.
