0.1.6 release #105

This change includes new documentation, bug fixes, and test optimizations. A highlight of the change is the Split and Process demo contributed by JP. In addition the following new features and bug fixes are present.

@bfcrampton, lets push a rule for that that into our code exporter. For now, since the internal issue tracker system referenced by that comment is public, I'm not terribly worried about it.
