OrcaTag is a tool that can be used to analyze pictures of orcas, with the aim to recognize and track individual animals.

Hi I'm interested in contributing to this project. Actually I'm currently following Andrew Ng's specialisation on Deep Learning on Coursera right now. (I'v e completed 3/5 courses and halfway convolutional nets course now) I would be interested to see if I can apply some of these techniques to a) help set up a training set and b) build a neural net for identification of the Orca's. From your introduction in the previous meeting I understand that you first want some system to suggest all pictures with similar fin-nicks?

Yes, that would be a good start. I am abroad until after Easter, can we meet next week and take a look at the pictures, and discuss options? Thank you for your interest. To Patrick, too!

Is there a meeting planned for this Wednesday? I have other commitments until approx 8 o'clock, but could meet for one hour after that and we can look at the pictures.

I'm at the meeting and I just saw this. Not sure if I can stay that long without food.
