Need to add ECSO terms for carbon cycling concepts that are Arctic specific (e.g., tundra and permafrost). Make sure we cover the concepts needed for the data in issue #2.

Although the current release of the Ecosystem Ontology includes a mature set of measurement concepts for the carbon cycle, we expect that systematically exploring the 4000 Arctic data sets will reveal additional needs. We will extend ECSO to include these new carbon-cycle measurement concepts, document and relate them to existing terms in other controlled vocabularies, and publish a new open source release of ECSO. Although its initial focus has been on concepts for carbon cycle measurements, ECSO can expand to other ecological domains. We expect that our examination of the Arctic data sets will yield measurement concepts to inform further extensions to ECSO or related vocabularies.
