Citation requests not making it through to the API #89

Got a report that 2 different citations were submitted through search.dataone.org not showing up in the UI or the Citations database. These requests did not make it to the citations registration queue as well.

One of the related datasets is urn:uuid:54f5727c-088f-41de-87a0-98ea477d97ea

I have narrowed the bug down to some unhandled exceptions in the Metrics Service. This is currently WIP. The next steps involve testing this on the stage instance of the Metrics service.

This issue has now been fixed in production. Verified by registering a production citation to the Metrics Service and the citation showed up in MetacatUI
