Insurance Coverage https://datausa.io/profile/geo/detroit-mi/#insurance_coverage_gender Currently, you can view insurance coverage by age/gender by type (displayed as stacked bar graphs with age bands on the x-axis); it would be more useful to display insurance coverage by income level (i.e. %FPL bands) and/or employment status. It would also be useful to display insurance coverage by other demographic traits (i.e. race, marital status, pregnancy status). For example: • Bar chart displaying insurance coverage by race with insurance type (i.e. no healthcare coverage, public insurance, private insurance) as x-axis; include stacked bar graph breaking out types of public insurance (i.e Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, VA) and types of private (i.e. employer-based, direct purchased) – or omit public/private and only depict no health care coverage + other subtypes as bars. • Bar chart displaying insurance coverage by income (with %FPL ranges on the x-axis)

These are great ideas, but so far we haven't been able to find the data to support them. @jspeis do you know if this is something we can get from ACS? Insurance split out by income and demographic traits other than age and gender?
