The issue should only cause if the credentials.ini file was not written right, could you try it again and see if it gives the same error? This time try to keep the formatting of the file the same.

Lynextion commented 3 years ago

@tanitoo2 Probably Instagram block your account. At least in my situation Instagram block my newly opened fake account. This script send too many request to Instagram.

tanitoo2 commented 3 years ago

@Lynextion I solved it, the problem was with the file "settings.json" had to erase everything on it and just put {}

sonubhaini commented 3 years ago

Ok, thanks.

same error for me also Error: "username" field cannot be blank in "config/credentials.ini"

fifthfrankie commented 3 years ago
  1. Go to /Osintgram/config and remove (rm) credentials.ini
  2. Go back to /Osintgram (cd ..)
  3. input make setup (exactly like that, just: make setup)
  4. Input Instagram username
  5. Input Instagram password (this might be a blank type but it is inputting)
  6. Hit enter, and it's sorted.
XTmv commented 3 years ago

Edit the credentials file in the directory "config". To do this: once you are in the Osintgram directory. 'cd config' to open file, 'vi credentials/ini'. There you will see the username and password. Enter your info there and then Esc + :wq to exit vi.

vidgix commented 2 years ago

i already enter my password my username but i keep getting this error

Error: "username" field cannot be blank in "config/credentials.ini"

bro pls tell me how to save that and leave this mode

Jasonmp35 commented 2 years ago

vi files are saved on escape. Hit the 'esc' button, then type ':w' or ':wq' to exit the file you are editing.
