is there a way to hide the "academics helper"

If you're on Windows you can start Chrome from Command Prompt. Run start chrome --silent-debugger-extension-api and the "Arcademics Helper started debugging this browser" message will be gone

Make sure all chrome windows are closed before doing this, or you won't see the effect
