precision problem #49

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. you assign a negative value to a property at the beginning.
2. then no matter how you slide the toggle bar, the textfield only show integer
   part of the value.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I want the precision is decided by the step(0.01) function, not by the initial
value. However, If the start value is negative for example this.x = -1.0, then
only
one bit is displayed in the textfield. I think use step function to tell how to
display numbers is much clear then parsing initial values.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
HP Computer, Windows 8

Please provide any additional information below.

I am from china, I try my best to describe the issue clearly. I hope you can
understand me. I appreciate if you can fixed the problem.

see issue 39 and comments... might be the same thing (the log of a negative
number is undefined)
