I modified and created My Gramps Theme to work for myself. As I posted in the readme "and NOT as a basic Linux theme. As I am not a Linux user, I make no claim how the theme will work as an overall theme."
Alas, the theme does not work as expected with 5.2. I am experimenting with other themes and seeing what I would want to tweak to satisfy myself for Gramps 5.2 on my Windows machine.
OK. Was just passing along information about the Linux experience, not a bug report or request.
Note, I have just used the (linux) GTK Inspector for the 1st time. WOW! It should make a huge difference in tweaking CSS. Understand that it exists for Linux & macOS but not Windows.
Can you try launching from the command line? With the Theme enabled on 5.1 for Fedora, there are a vast number of warnings about the use of deprecated CSS elements. This might explain the 5.2 incompatibility.
Added your folder (although the GitHub ZIPping utility named the sub-folder as "My-Gramps-Theme-edit-Theme") on Fedora 37 Linux in the following location made it available in the Themes addon's menu.:
/home/
<username>/.themes/My-Gramps-Theme
It doesn't render very well. (Perhaps it is in the wrong location and not finding the 'cascade' of reference folders?) The application and dialogs have no borders. Nor do the tabs. There's no indicator of the current tab and they are butted nose-to-tail.
The application menus are even tighter.
There are other paths with a
gtk-3.0
subfolder:/home/
<username>/.config/gtk-3.0
