Just raising issue here for now as not sure whether it should in a repository here or be visible (and possibly confusing) to others at thecapitalistcycle.
This will be the main value added to "The People's Marx" (TPM) by providing anchors for TPM to link to either from chapter headings or from actual quotes/paraphrases within chapters. I regard them as closely related projects so am putting this in your TPM repository.
These then lead further to links back via Maksakovsky Institute web site to EGRN etc. Important to have this done before release to marxists.org and mediawiki sites and to provide them both with versions that require no further work by them to just include so they are not tempted to remove the links back.
Just links from chapter headings will be easy to do quickly once we have the Five Volumes ToC ready AND a Maksakovsky Institute site ready for links to point back to. Those will take a while and will be held up waiting for me.
Much more value added from links to individual sections from paragraphs. Also held up by needing Five Volumes ToC to link to but that will be available well before Maksakovsky Institute site.
Please check feasability. ie How much work will it be for you. eg Try going through printout of ch 17 (p195 pdf 207 of original), which references C2 chapters 1-4 and marking where each paragraph comes from by page and paragraph within page in MECW36 or Moscow editions, preferably MECW. If feasible then actually editing as links from the marked notes will easy enough later when Five Volumes ToC available.
Also note whether distinct translation or paraphrase or just copied from same English translation. (Oddly the text references "German edition" but authorised english translation was available from 1907 used by MECW and Moscow editions so I would expect 1921 translator would have really used that and only translated connecting paraphrases from Borchardt's German.
Far more value added from indexing and also far more work. Consider feasability after checking above. The manual part of full indexing will probably involve some multiple of the effort required for above to compare page references from existing indexes (multiplied again by number of chapters).
