I know its on my todo,i was very busy with sandboxy lately sorry for that

Mrnofish commented 4 years ago

It's good to know it's not abandoned.

Since the 2004 Win 10 upgrade, Priv10 has been working even more poorly (it was already giving me issues before) and I was considering a switch.

Hopefully you can find the time to look into the other issues, as well.

DavidXanatos commented 4 years ago

I'm debugging it right now, could you please test the following: in the program tab of teh ribbon use "clear firewall log" and "clear dns inspector" and tel me if eider solved the issue temporary.

dont try booth at once i would like to know which one helped

DavidXanatos commented 3 years ago

please try the new pre release build

DavidXanatos commented 3 years ago

If no one complains with the new 0.8x lien of build... I'll considered the issue fixed :)

I'm still seeing very large memory utilization in 0.84 (usually rises to around 2Gb after running for a day). I have tried clearing the firewall and DNS inspector logs as you suggested before, but it remained high. Restarting the service will bring it back down to using about 80Mb.

normous commented 3 years ago

It's only been an hour, but after unchecking the "Monitor host names queries (DNS Inspector)" box and rebooting, usage is sitting at < 23 Mb. I will keep an eye on it and update if I see another spike.

I also tested entering and exiting sleep mode, and it stayed low.

normous commented 3 years ago

Update: RAM usage still staying low. Only change made was disabling of DNS Inspector.

Mine does not 😕 image

(the bump is probably when I switched to the Firewall tab)
