[Controller Malfunctioning when using BetterJoy] #818

I plug my NS Pro controller via usb and hook it up to betterjoy, but after that windows game bar will keep randomly showing up, and when I use the controller ingame, it looks like someone is mashing all the buttons, even though I am not touching the controller, It will Constantly mash + and B, while the other buttons are also being mashed but, not as fast.

I never had an issue with betterJoy on my older laptop with the same controller. But It was only till I downloaded it on my new laptop where it fricks up. Edit: My controller does not destroy it self when connecting it to my Nintendo Switch

I also encountered this kind of problem / what should i do?

AbreuEfechou commented 2 years ago

Same problem here, anyone found a solution?

Shideravan commented 2 years ago

It seems to be latest Windows 10 update related, as it just messed out after the update

Shideravan commented 2 years ago

I tested with another computer and it also doing this. Surely has something withe the most recent Windows 10 update. And in the Nintendo Switch, the controller is running fine.

I am also experiencing something similar if I'm understanding the issue correctly. The problem seems to be that Windows and some games picks up both the emulated "XInput" and the "Pro Controller" that is randomly pushing all the buttons.

Would it be possible for BetterJoy to disable the "Pro Controller" aspect altogether? For example DS4Windows has a similar feature "Hide DS4 Controller" that removes it from the Game Controllers window altogether.
