Taranis continuous tone from speaker when vario is connected

I am using a Taranis with r2667 

What is your openTx EEPROM version?

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Flight pack is X8R receiver, a FrSky SBUS & CPPM Decoder,and a High Precision 
Vario
2.Turn on TX and allow to boot.
3.Turn on flight pack after TX boots.
4. As soon as the vario LED turns on the TX emits a loud tone from the speaker 
that lasts about a minute. Everything works as it should during the tone.  If 
the flight pack is powered on first I get no tone.
