Hello @prasannavl, I'm a big fan of your ecosystem and the speed at which you implement new things on the blockchain. But what I don't understand is why such a basic scenario as a stock split wasn't considered before implementing stock tokens? I hope the implementation goes smoothly for the ecosystem. Best regards

Hi @SKapi1985 - thank you for your kind note - glad to hear your appreciation of the team's agility.

But what I don't understand is why such a basic scenario as a stock split wasn't considered before implementing stock tokens?

It was :) And it was surmised that getting everyone access to the dTokens was a more beneficial way forward than having blocked by this design and implementation - since the fallback plan was deemed safe and straight-forward. I believe this was discussed publicly as well before launch.

Why? Our team works hard to keep finding the optimal balance between speed and long-term design - and also to be mindful of the learning opportunity along the way, esp. when we are in uncharted territories (The unique DEX without any direct price pegs between dTokens and any government regulated securities, where it's shaped entirely by free market dynamics on-chain).

In addition, on-chain governance that is required for the full design is still not ready - and wouldn't be until the next few months. EVM research that is helping us to understand the cross chain dynamics and impact that could potentially reshape parts of this design (and speaking just for myself - my own understanding of it) was also in it's nascence. With all this in mind, we believed (and still do) that stock split is a safe and straight forward to address with oracle multipliers and that users needn't wait until all of this is finalised to get access to and enjoy the benefits of dTokens.

It is also my belief our whole eco-system is still in it's nascence (while also being a trail blazer) that we have much to learn and evolve as we grow together. I'm thankful for your overall positive note and wishes - and I do hope that you're in the journey with us together, for the long-term. Cheers!
