While exotic, these things (WAV file which has MP3 in it) can still be found in a wild, and it is pretty annoying to switch to other player...
Both VLC and Rhythmbox can play them, But VLC skips audio A LOT, while Rhythmbox UI is just not suitable for non-tagged audio files.
