1. Use the latest version on
Description: Openfire
Version: 3.4.4
OS: Java 1.5.0_10

> What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Quick performance.

> What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

0.10.0.0 Windows XP

> To what server (if public like jabber.org) are you connecting?

Internal Openfire server

> What plugins, if any, are enabled?

Unsure (see other problem) but maybe aspell.

> Please provide any additional information below.

Performance is very poor! Often upon connecting it will only get half of
the roster list. When opening groups to see members it will ofter hang
for a few seconds before opening it, enough for you to click it again and
have it closed after it opens.

Could this be because we have a large roster list? Our whole company of
250 people uses one jabber server.

This performance was perfect on 0.9.1.0 which makes me think it is a
problem in the latest version.

Based on this, I've downgraded back to the previous release. Performance is
too slow
for it to work well in my organisation!

I too see high cpu load from this version. It doesn't occur all the time and I
can't reproduce it. The longer it runs the more likely I see a constant 20-40%
cpu
load on PCs running XP SP2 (not tested elsewhere). I've just started testing
0.9.1.0 and haven't see the same problem yet. I too am using Openfire, but I
use
the load issue no matter how many users are on the server.
