I have the same problem, additionaly it applies to chat windows (Exodus
0.10.0.0,
Windows XP Home) - I have option "Simple message (non-chat) handling" set to
"Treat
all messages as chats". In the name of the chat window that opens due to
incoming
message there is only JID. Also next to the avatar symbol there is JID instead
of
the contact's name. I can see, however, contact name on the beginnig of each
message. The problem does not exist if I am starting conversation by double
clicking
the contact's name in the Exodus windows. The problem did not exist in previous
version of Exodus.

I hadn't noticed that effect when someone else starts a conversation. I did
initially get that with all chat windows until I went into Options > Settings >
Group List and put a tick in "Get display name from contact's profile" and used
the
default {GIVEN} {FAMILY} variables. This then appears to resolve the issue if
contacts have filled in their vCard details - I'm using the Openfire 3.4.1 IM
server. Doing this however, doesn't stop the problem reported above with the
toast
popups..

Hi,
same problem here after the upgrade from 0.9.1 to 0.10 (XP Prof. SP2) (I
previously
deinstalled the old Exodus version).
- Toast popups show always the JID (was the Nickname before)
- roaster and in the headlines of a chat window I initiated the Nickname is
displayed (like in older versions)
- when someone answers the chat I initiated, the Name in the headlines of the
chat
window changes to the JID
