I was just curious what this became?

In the mean time: https://help.nextcloud.com/t/nextcloud-joins-open-cloud-mesh-initiative-of-geant-to-continue-driving-federated-cloud-sharing-development/1368

Cool, thanks for the link! Definitely relevant, cc @Gara64

Hello @pierreozoux and @michielbdejong :) I've followed this federation with great interest. Lately, I've been quite busy to implement a basic sharing in Cozy, but as soon as we finish this part, we'd like to take a deeper look to see if it's feasible to join it. Sadly, we lack time to make things happen as fast as we'd like...

Looks like the Open Cloud Mesh initiative is going well: https://nextcloud.com/blog/nextcloud-pushes-forward-open-cloud-mesh-api-with-proposal-for-1.0-release/

I guess we could consider this working group deprecated in favor of OCM?

Hey @michielbdejong ! Hope things are going well :) Yes, it seems a lot of efforts have been put in OCM. With Nextcloud behind it, I guess we can consider it as the de facto reference for decentralized sharing, making this group not relevant anymore.

On a side note, Cozy has now its own file sharing protocol. I'll try to take some time to see how feasible it would be to make it compatible with OCM.
