new utilty — erase passwords #20

When I do periodic password changes, the browser cache and Gnome Keyring have the old passwords in it, which causes problems.

A tool should be able to go through and scan the existing passwords, and nuke all the entries that match the old password.

Tips on doing this:

Oh, you can actually do this manually in Firefox without too much effort.

  1. go into the password-clearing utility. 2. click "show passwords". 3. sort by password. 4. range-select the old-password-entries, and nuke them
