Unfortunately, it requires a fairly new version of Python, newer than what's commonly available on my own menagerie of boxes.

Possible solutions?

modify the existing script to work on an older version of Python (requires learning Python)
dig to see if someone has rewritten it in Perl
rewrite it in Perl myself
