The aim of BGD - Badges and Gadgets of Defcon is to bring together some of the cool badges and projects displayed at DEF CON into one list, to increase visibility as well as to make it easier for community developers and researchers connect easily with the creators/writers.
To add a source to a badge, write-up or a project(gadget), follow the current curated list in any of the categories(Badge Collection, Badge Challenge Walkthrough, Other Cool Gadgets) to act as a guide.
Badge Collection is purely about the badges and source codes.
Badge Challenge Walkthrough section is for writeups to badge challenges.
Other Cool Gadgets is a section for another cool project you came across at Defcon.
Table headers
BadgeName : This is the name of the badge .
Creator : This is the badge creator
BadgeDescription: A short description of the badge.
SourceCode/Docs: A list to the badge source code and or documentation if present.
Lang/Tech: This is the tools source code language for the badge if it is known. This helps developers to easily choose a badge with a language they're more familiar with in a quick and easy manner.
Demo link/Image: A link to a snapshot of the badge just so people can see how cool that badge is.
Conference Year: This is the year that badge was shown at Defcon
LinkToWriteup - A link to where the badge challenge writeup(walkthrough) is available.
WriteupBy - The name of the writeup writer.
Places to get this badges and or writeups
You can track badges on platforms that have tagging capability to check for this tags (#defcon, #defcon31 + #badgelife)
Asking for a link to public source codes or writeups from friends who have badges.
