The ludum dare game jam has this great system for feedback. There are thousands of submissions, and no individual judges. And yet everyone gets feedback on their game. how do they do it?
you review other people's games
for each game you review, your game gets put in a queue for others to review
the more feedback you give, the more you get
there is always people who "game the system" a bit by just leaving a "cool game" comment just to get reviews, but it's an honor system and it works well enough
so this would be something that
you submit your substack article too (maybe you also say what kind of feedback you're hoping for)
you review others (how to verify they left a review? does Substack have an API for this?)
i'd really like this because I realized I don't care as much about my articles getting wide readership, but I do care about someone reading it and getting some feedback
